maybe I could show some pictures of my surroundings instead?
The landscape around my house here in the heart of Brittany
the river with the Medieval bridge in the back
my house is hidden behind the trees on the left
Some of the hundreds wild daffodils in the garden
Early Spring in the back yard
harvesting birch sap
Mimosa in bloom
My knit and crochet space
...
quel bel environnement, propice à la création et au recueillement ...

Merci Pascale,
Deleteoui, c'est un endroit que j'aime beaucoup !
It looks so beautiful! It makes me want to move there. Are there any smallholdings for sale near you with a house like yours?
ReplyDeleteBUT YOU LIVE IN SUCH A BEAUTIFUL PLACE !
DeleteSure, there are some smallholdings for sale in the neighboorhood
but I don't know if they can be compared to the ones in New Zealand though !
I would love to have you as my neighbor :)
You're always welcome to visit us...
Love your blog and seeing your beautiful surroundings. Your collecting of birch sap is intriguing. What do you use the sap for?
ReplyDeleteThank you Pallas,
DeleteI collect the birch sap to drink it, it taste slightly sweet.
I do it every year around the middle two weeks of March and drink it fresh.
There are a lot of health claims associated with Birch sap,
it is known as an excellent spring tonic.
This year I will also make a fermented beverage with birch sap and honey: a mead.
Making a mead sounds interesting, Marylene, hope you will post about it, I would love to hear more about it.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos from your homeplace, truly a place with a soul :)
Good readiing your post
